Set at the end of a long courtyard and protected behind a gate, this family house offers an unexpected refuge in the vibrant district. The interior relies on a tight palette of oak, plaster, stone, and stainless steel. Instead of embracing visual noise, the design centers on stillness. Built-ins dominate the rooms, lighting is recessed, and appliances disappear behind wooden doors, reinforcing the project’s pursuit of subtlety.

Navigating Light in an L-Shaped Plan

Because all windows face the courtyard, natural illumination becomes essential. A sculptural staircase brings light deep into the home through a new skylight, distributing it across all four levels.
