Situated in the Art Nouveau splendor of Galleria Alberto Sordi, the restaurant reimagines the traditional Milanese dining experience within the vibrant cultural fabric of the Italian capital. With a design language that bridges retro sophistication and contemporary aesthetics, the space captures the charm of Milan while embracing Rome’s festive dynamism.
A Palette Rooted in Tradition
At the heart of the design is the unmistakable “Stendhal Green”, a unifying motif that threads through the restaurant’s interiors. This signature color appears on bespoke wallpapers and the striking bar counter, creating a cohesive visual identity. Brass accents, textured glass, and intricate woodwork add layers of luxury, while marble surfaces lend a timeless touch. Every material and detail speaks to the architects’ vision of preserving Milanese tradition while adapting it to the Roman context.
The layout is intimate yet sociable, with large windows establishing a dialogue between the historic Galleria and the contemporary interiors. A neon quote from Stendhal’s Promenades on a stairwell wall serves as a thoughtful nod to the literary inspiration behind the restaurant’s name.
