Marking its 90th anniversary, the Association professionnelle des designers d’intérieur du Québec (APDIQ) held the 2025 Prix d’excellence Gala at the Grand Quai du Vieux-Port de Montréal. The event highlighted the innovation, rigor, and human-centered creativity that continue to define Québec’s interior design industry.
A Celebration of Design Excellence
The APDIQ 2025 Awards recognized designers who have distinguished themselves through outstanding projects in residential, commercial, and institutional design. Each winning project demonstrated sensitivity to context, attention to well-being, and a clear commitment to sustainability. As APDIQ president Marie-Christine Dubé noted, “These awards remind us that design is a driver of well-being, identity, and durability.”
Honoring Exceptional Projects and Designers
This year’s edition showcased remarkable works from across Québec. Among the highlights, Julie Picard received the Residential — Kitchen Renovation Award for Projet Amyot, while Véronique Chayer earned multiple distinctions for her projects in institutional and office design. Wen Jing Fang was honored for Kalemart 24 in the retail category, and Lysiane Munger and Tamara Aubé-Landry were recognized for the complete renovation project Tiny Vali. These awards reveal the depth and diversity of Québec’s interior design practices.
Recognizing Lifelong Commitment to the Profession
In addition to project awards, APDIQ presented the Distinction Prizes to celebrate members whose work has significantly advanced the profession. Honorees included Delphine Lavallée (Gertrude-Néron Prize), Nancy Belzile (Louis-Mulligan Prize), Zébulon Perron (Claude-Bérubé Prize), and Céline Gaudreault (L. Alexander-Holland Prize). The title of Honorary Member 2025 was awarded to Gary Conrath for his outstanding contribution to the field, while Christine Reux, Olivier Vallerand, and Lynda Medouni received Accolades for their dedication.

Through this anniversary edition, APDIQ reaffirmed its mission to guide and promote certified interior designers across Québec. The gala stood as both a tribute to nine decades of professional excellence and a showcase of emerging talent. “APDIQ will continue to support its members and promote interior design as an essential discipline for quality of life and sustainable development,” concluded Marie-Christine Dubé.
