Old Bantam (Banten Lama) is experiences museum where every spots have evidence of the distinguished historical port and well designed as the famous port city in the Dutch East Indies that was glorius in 16th – 17th century AD. Karangantu Harbor is a part of Old Bantam which spead up to 1,500 meters whether the 30 meters wide and 7 meters depth.
Eventhought Sunda Kelapa Harbour is famous as the port city in Indonesia, Karangantu Harbor was older than Sunda Kelapa. At that time, Karangantu has become the largest trading harbor in Dutch East Indies. Provided that people to trade while the Chinese, Arabic, Gujarati, Persian, Turkey, Burma, France, Britain and the Netherlands took the spices then they sold in the Middle East and Europe through the Karangantu Harbor. In the year of 1614, there were a number of ships from China anchored that lead several things from theirs where 18 years ago for the first time Netherlanders under the leadership of the Dutch Trade Fleet Cornelis de Houtman landed in Karangantu Harbor, Banten in the 1596.
