James Stockwell’s Leura House was awarded the 2008 Wilkinson Award from Australian Institute of Architects New South Wales. Mr. James adopting Japanese design method ‘discontinuous unity’ that’s popularized by Takamasa Yoshikaza, it means there are more opened-space rather than closed-space init. The Leura House is also a sustainable resident by utilizing local sandstone with cement, hydroponic heating and cooling system, and self-produce power and water.
