At the heart of this project is Indee Design, led by Florence Charron. With an established reputation for thoughtful, client-centered spaces, the team saw an opportunity in the neighboring vacant storefront to expand the clinic’s footprint. By doubling the available space, the redesign was not just about adding square footage—it was about redefining what a medico-aesthetic environment could be, with each new zone tailored to support both clients and practitioners.
Design Elements and Aesthetic Details
The transformation embraces a minimalistic yet inviting aesthetic. One of the most striking features is a raw terrazzo floor, with natural hues of terracotta, black, white, and gold that serve as an artistic focal point throughout the clinic. Curved lines and materials such as wood and leather introduce warmth and subtle luxury into the space. This approach highlights a curated design philosophy where every detail is chosen to harmonize visual appeal with a sense of understated sophistication.
Optimizing Functionality Through Spatial Reconfiguration
Functionality was a key consideration in the redesign. The expanded space has been thoughtfully divided into areas for facial and body treatments, a consultation zone, and a modern reception area. This reconfiguration ensures that each section caters to its specific function—whether it’s providing a serene setting for treatments or facilitating a smooth flow in client interactions. Enhanced soundproofing measures and strategic layouts were implemented to maintain the necessary privacy and comfort essential for a medico-aesthetic setting.
Creating an Environment of Comfort and Privacy
Beyond aesthetics and layout, the project also focuses on creating a welcoming and discreet environment. The reception area now makes a subtle yet impactful street-level statement, featuring integrated lighting and custom-designed storage that blend seamlessly with the overall decor. Treatment rooms have been designed with adjustable lighting and ergonomic considerations, ensuring that both client relaxation and practitioner efficiency are supported. Thoughtful touches—such as a glass partition that elegantly demarcates spaces—underscore the commitment to privacy without compromising on style.
