Havres Montcalm is a beautiful modern architectural retreat nestled in the heart of Quebec’s Laurentian Mountains. Designed by MU Architecture, this development comprises 62 elegant residences spread across 184 acres of lush natural landscapes. The project focuses on seamlessly blending contemporary design with its surroundings, offering a serene escape that takes full advantage of the area’s breathtaking views and outdoor amenities. Let’s delve into the distinctive architectural features that make Havres Montcalm an exceptional place to live.

Seamless Integration with Nature

MU Architecture has seamlessly integrated the Havres Montcalm residences into the surrounding natural landscape. By using minimal intervention on the terrain, the architecture preserves the rugged topography and enhances the breathtaking views of the Laurentian Mountains. Residents enjoy privileged access to trails, Lake Beaven, and other outdoor experiences, making this development a nature lover’s dream.

Thoughtful Chalet Designs

The project offers four distinct typologies of chalets, each tailored to complement the specific terrain. The first typology features a single-level design elevated from the ground, giving the impression of floating above the plain and minimizing the footprint on the landscape. The remaining three typologies are nestled into the mountain slopes with garden levels, providing living areas and views on two levels of the house.

Each chalet type offers unique layouts and features. Types 1 and 2 form an “L” shape, allowing for the addition of two to three bedrooms, a double garage, and optional amenities such as an infinity pool and sauna. Types 3 and 4 are elongated designs that prioritize seamless indoor-outdoor connections, with communal spaces extending onto terraces and courtyards.

Inspired Interior Design Palettes

Havres Montcalm‘s interior design options draw inspiration from the surrounding nature, providing three distinct finish palettes: La Clairière, La Forêt, and La Rocheuse.

  • La Clairière embraces soft, soothing tones reminiscent of the clearing’s hay, creating a calming cocoon.
  • La Forêt captures the warm tones of the forest with rich browns and touches of wildflower colors for a welcoming ambiance.
  • La Rocheuse features deep and dark hues that evoke the rich colors of the surrounding mountains, merging nature with contemporary elegance.

Each palette provides a different atmosphere, ensuring residents can choose the perfect fit for their lifestyle.

A Commitment to Conservation and Community

Havres Montcalm is designed with a focus on conservation and community, maintaining a low-density development that prioritizes preserving nature for future generations. The project promotes a strong sense of community, with a renovated chapel serving as a future clubhouse for residents. The commitment to sustainability and minimal impact on the environment ensures Havres Montcalm will remain a cherished sanctuary for years to come.

MU Architecture’s attention to detail and dedication to creating harmonious spaces have produced a development that blends modern luxury with the tranquility of nature. With its unique architectural designs, thoughtful interior options, and emphasis on conservation, Havres Montcalm stands out as a truly special place to call home in the Laurentian Mountains.
