Designed by COOP HIMMELB(L)AU as part of the research “Walking through the History’ of the University of Perugia”, the Energy Roof Perugia serves as canopy along Via Mazzini in the center of Perugia. The roof consists of three layers: 1) The top layer incorporates transparent photovoltaic cells to generate electricity and shade the sun; 2) the middle/structural layer holds five wind turbines to generates additional energy; 3) and the bottom layer integrates laminated glazing and translucent pneumatic cushions.

I find it kind of disturbing – noisy shadows on well proportioned facades.
would prefer to see hanging underpants between the buildings instead of this science fiction trash…
