Call for Entries: Architizer A+Awards Celebrate Craft

The Architizer A+Awards 2025 officially opens its 14th season, marking another global celebration of design excellence. Organized by Architizer, the world’s largest online architecture platform, this year’s edition revives one of the discipline’s most timeless values: craftsmanship. Through a renewed focus on human creativity, material integrity, and cultural connection, the awards invite architects from over 85 countries to redefine how design is made and experienced.

Reclaiming the Spirit of Craft

This year’s Architizer A+Awards theme, “Crafting the Next Era of Architecture,” responds to the rapid digitization shaping the design world. As technology accelerates, the program calls attention to architects who place human ingenuity at the heart of their practice. From humble materials to advanced fabrication, the awards celebrate projects that embody precision, authenticity, and care across all typologies and scales.

Known as the world’s most inclusive architectural awards, the A+Awards maintain a democratic judging process—combining input from a distinguished jury and the public. Last year, the competition received hundreds of thousands of votes from more than 80 nations, underscoring its global reach. This season, new categories emphasize craftsmanship, sustainability, and occupant well-being, reinforcing the importance of human connection in contemporary design.

Similarly, Kongjian Yu of Turenscape notes, “The best architecture is adaptive—responsive to climate, culture, and human needs.” Their insights reflect an evolving ethos: design not as monument, but as dialogue.
