Strang Design, a renowned architecture and interior design firm, has recently completed a remarkable residential project in Miami, United States. This stunning modernist home perfectly blends environmental consciousness with a Brazilian twist, reflecting both the clients’ cultural heritage and their desired way of life. With meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to sustainable design, Strang Design has crafted a warm and inviting space that seamlessly connects various areas while showcasing exquisite architecture and interior design.

Creating a Sense of Connectivity

A core objective of the design was to foster a sense of connectivity within the expansive home. Strang Design achieved this by skillfully crafting comfortable spaces that encourage both togetherness and individual activities. The use of vintage, culturally significant furniture adds a distinct touch, amplifying the design’s uniqueness and reflecting the clients’ rich cultural background.

Environmentally Friendly Design Choices

Strang Design faced the challenge of sourcing materials that met the clients’ needs while remaining environmentally friendly. Demonstrating their commitment to sustainability, the firm opted for unfilled Travertine for the interior and exterior flooring, along with teak slatted ceilings and walls for added texture and warmth. The incorporation of natural materials, such as rough-cut Jerusalem tiles for the exterior walls, exposed board form concrete, and teak millwork accents, further enhances the home’s organic appeal.

Thoughtful Landscaping and Conservation Efforts

Complementing the architectural design, Strang Design collaborated with the esteemed landscape architecture studio, La Casona Garden, to create a harmonious outdoor space. Native species were carefully selected and integrated, contributing to the property’s designation as a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. This meticulous attention to landscaping ensures a seamless blend between the natural surroundings and the residence, promoting a tranquil and eco-conscious living environment.

Exquisite Interior Selections

The interiors of the residence boast an exceptional selection of materials and brands, carefully chosen to enhance the overall design and meet the clients’ desires. The kitchen design features the elegance of Mia Cucina, while Opustone provides stunning stone materials throughout the home. Apparatus Light Fixtures illuminate the spaces with their exquisite craftsmanship. Additionally, top-of-the-line appliances from Subzero and Wolf, alongside AV solutions from AVX, ensure a seamless integration of technology and convenience.

The Collaborative Team Behind the Project

Strang Design led the architectural and interior design aspects of the project, showcasing their expertise in creating captivating spaces that blend form and function seamlessly. Working alongside Strang Design, the landscape consultant, La Casona Garden, added their expertise to create a stunning outdoor environment. The structural engineering was executed by Francisco Cuello Jr., while Henry Vidal & Associates, Inc., handled the MEP aspects. Jorge G. Maldonado contributed as the civil engineer, and Contemporary Builders, Inc., served as the general contractor, ensuring the project’s successful realization.

Strang Design’s completion of this Brazilian-inspired modernist home in Miami stands as a testament to their unwavering dedication to environmental modernism. By incorporating sustainable design principles, cultural influences, and a keen eye for detail, they have transformed the clients’ vision into a reality. The result is a breathtaking residence that seamlessly blends architectural grandeur with warm, inviting interiors, all while prioritizing environmental consciousness.
