This tourist resort is designed at the popular diving hub of Philippines. Oceo Drive is a beachfront property in Zamboanguita, Dumaguete City, facing Apo Island rated as one of top diving spots in the world. It is not just a place to reminisce the old Spanish times, rather it’s also a perfect summer getaway to relax and be in one with the wonders of the nature and a pristine coastline.
The entire resort is designed to be on an axis which aligns all its rooms and public spaces towards the overwhelming view of the beach and sea beyond. The entire public areas are connected to the beach by a series of water features which view in and out of the form with large overhanging decks and sit outs.
The Resort has multiple dwelling options ranging from single studio rooms, suites, sky villas, bungalows and beach facing villas which have been oriented to have uncluttered and unobstructed views of the sea and beyond. The entire ground floor has common amenities for the entire resort like restaurants, bar, health spa and wellness centers and games rooms which open on to large decks and water features and pools.
The upper units of the resort have individual decks for relaxing along with sky gardens and sit outs.
The users get a mix of public and private spaces where they can find lot of interaction and peace and tranquility within the same settings.
This resort has a zero carbon foot print and can be considered totally environmentally sensitive in its architecture as well as its landscape. The building is designed for cross ventilated rooms to minimize the use of expensive and energy consuming air conditioning and electricity for most parts of the day. All species of flora and fauna that have been proposed in the landscape are indigenous and naturally found on the island its self.
The entire resort is connected by shaded walk ways and limits the use of the automobiles to its entrance periphery.
All in this entire project is an endeavor to create a getaway for fun relaxation and enjoyment for all the users by its interesting architecture and landscape.
The area of the plot is 16365sq.mts with a total built up of 17115sq mts. The entire Resort houses a hotel, 48 condominium apartments, 4 bungalows, 3 beach bungalows, 8 pool villas, 10 sky villas, club house and a dive shop.
