KPF Honored with Five MIPIM Asia Awards

MIPIM’s largest number of awards won by a single architectural firm.

Hong Kong – September, 2011 – International architecture firm, Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF), is pleased to announce that the firm has won five awards at the annual MIPIM Asia Awards 2011. The International Commerce Centre and Wheelock Square both won in the Best Business Centres category, Abu Dhabi International Airport Midfield Complex in the Best Central & Western Asia Future Projects category, Xintiandi Hotels in the Best Hotels & Tourism Resorts category, and The Marina Bay Financial Centre in the Best Mixed-Use Buildings category.

Upon accepting the awards, Paul Katz, Managing Principal of KPF, said, “KPF’s continuing success at MIPIM Asia is a testament to the quality and aspirations of our clients. During MIPIM Asia, delegates will vote for their favorite projects, which will determine the ranking: Gold, Silver, or Bronze. All awards will be presented during the prestigious MIPIM Asia Awards Gala Dinner, which will take place on Wednesday November 16th at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

KPF was one of the first US architecture firms to start working in China, and has had a strong presence there for over 20 years, including growing offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong. These five awards serve as an affirmation of KPF’s unmatched experience and leadership in the region.

Hong Kong – November 24, 2011 – International architecture firm, Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF), is pleased to announce that the firm has won two Gold, two Silver, and one Bronze award for outstanding work in the Asia Pacific region at the annual MIPIM Asia Awards 2011.

Both the International Commerce Centre (Hong Kong) and Marina Bay Financial Centre (Singapore) were honored with Gold awards in the Business Centre and Mixed-Use Building categories respectively; the Marina Bay Financial Centre received the prestigious and highly coveted The Participants’ Choice Awards. The Abu Dhabi International Airport Midfield Complex received a Silver award in the Best Central & Western Asia Futura Projects category, and Xintiandi Hotels (Shanghai, China) won a Silver award in the Hotels & Tourism Resorts category. Shanghai Wheelock Square (Shanghai, China) was recognized with a Bronze award in the Business Centres category.
