In recent years, Krueck Sexton, a firm known primarily for its award-winning contemporary commissions, has developed a parallel expertise in restoring and renovating Mid-Century buildings and structures. Among the firm’s most significant restoration projects are the three buildings by the noted 20th Century architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe: Crown Hall, the School of Social Services Administration and 860-880 Lake Shore Drive. Restoring Mies: A Case Study outlines the challenges and successes in bring the life and spirit back to these important buildings.
