
The Ciliwung Recovery Project won second place in the 2010 eVolo Skyscraper Competition. The design was proposed by four Indonesian architects – Rezza Rahdian, Erwin Setiawan, Ayu Diah Shanti, and Leonardus Chrisnantyo.

Jakarta is a city of flood. Ciliwung river is one of those river in Jakarta which floods annually. Ciliwung is one of the main river in Jakarta. Starts from its upstream area in Bogor down to its downstream area in Jakarta, its length about 89km, with basin area about 347 m2. Ciliwung river is one of those river which supplies freshwater around the city it passes. The proposed site is an area called Kampung Melayu, which passed across by Ciliwung river. This area is one of the most critical slum that needs respons. Almost each year this area flooded by the river, people lived so close to the edge of the water that it narrows the river section, and gotten worse along the increase of population.

Cleveland Design Competition – Project 2009: Lakefront Station is an international, single-stage ideas competition for a new multi-modal transportation center in Downtown Cleveland between the historic Mall and Lake Erie. Designs for this new transportation center must provide the city with a state-of-the-art rail station ready to support high speed passenger rail service, a facility capable of integrating and balancing the needs of various transportation modes, and a significant pedestrian connection from the Mall to Cleveland’s lakefront. Linked into a High Speed Passenger Rail network, Downtown Cleveland will be an important midwest rail center among a network of connected American cities, a fitting gateway to Northeast Ohio.

Formerly known as HOK Sport Venue Event, Populous was selected to design the 2014 Winter Olympic stadium in Sochi, Russia. The project is prepared to house 40,000 people when the stadium is full, but currently the plans are still unclear.

Proposed by BIG in collaboration with ARUP and Transsolar, the design of Shenzhen International Energy Mansion was selected from an international competition. The project located in he center of Shenzhen, China creating a new landmark for the surrounding environment. Covering 96,000 sqm, the building stands 200 meters high enclosed in a skin specifically modified and optimized for the tropical climate.
Proposed by North Carolina based studio -Lttle, the Entangled Bank is mentioned as the third winner of Re: Vision Dallas competition. According to the architect, the project is a series of complex networks connecting various elements in the community and it uses innovative sustainable strategies to improve the natural environment.

Picture above is the design of LSE Student Centre proposed by O’Donnell & Tuomey for the RIBA’s design competition. Based in Dublin, the firm outranks David Chipperfield, Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, de Rijke Marsh Morgan and 3XN. With £21.5 million budget, the project will include a student union reception, bars, entertainment venues, media facilities and offices.

drdharchitects has won the international competition for a new 7,350m² concert hall and 5,500m² library in Bodo, Norway. The Bodo Kulturhus and Library will consist of two public buildings; a new city library (5,500m²) and a three-auditorium concert hall (7,350m²), creating a new cultural centre for the Norwegian coastal city. The results of the competition were announced in Bodo, Norway on 27 February. drdharchitects beat five other practices to win the invited competition, including CF Moller, Medplan, General Architecture, Langdon Reis Zahn and Lundgaard & Tranberg.

Located in China, the design of Dalian International Conference Centre was proposed by Coop Himmelb(l)au along with other competitor including Zaha Hadid Architect. The project will make a 100,000 sq m building mixing a conference centre, an opera house, and an exhibition centre.
