The new facility will accommodate ManTech’s growing Maryland workforce. The company currently has more than 700 employees in Maryland supporting a number of federal government and U.S. military organizations. When the building opens in March 2011, ManTech will occupy 63,000 square feet of the 125,000-square-foot space. ManTech expects to have 300 to 500 technology jobs at the location in the next three years.

Toolbox is a professional office located in Torino, Italy in an industrial space. The aim of this design is to create a cohesive design concept that still embraces the diversity of the work group. The designer modulated similar volumes with different materials including cork and rubber. This approach allowed the designer to create a variety of spaces with different levels of function and privacy. The lobby features 400 undulating cubes, and cute icons were designed and placed next to rooms to indicate that room’s function.

Project description from Tonkin Zulaikha Greer: The Old Tannery, a stout brick factory-style edifice built for the training of tanners in the 1930s, enjoys no official heritage status. Our clients, however, viewed it differently. Kane Constructions are a building company that pursues unusual and inventive building projects and they wanted their Sydney office building to reflect this.

The image of Cape Town is uniquely characterized by the interaction of Table Mountain and Signal Hill, a soft, hilly landscape and the surrounding Atlantic Ocean. Greenpoint Stadium is situated as a solitary body, embedded in Greenpoint Common at the foot of Signal Hill and is ordered respectfully into the landscaped complex.

The small building is built as a uniform volume, clad in larch wood. When not in use the house is completely closed, giving it an appearance of the archetypal house. When open, the warm un-weathered finish of the larch gives the sauna a friendly and welcoming character.
