Designed by Studio ST Architect & Z-A, the renovation of the 14th Street Y in Manhattan, New York is aimed to create a new identity for the building. As you can see in the image, for the entrance and lobby an “East Meets West” pallet was chosen, exposing the raw grunge of the East Village and the ethnic diversity and Jewish link to Israel and to the Middle East though patterns, Moroccan cement tiles and a field of lighting.

The green Science Center in Hartford, Connecticut has been opened for public since June 13. Utilizing a hydrogen fuel cell to provide the majority of its power, The building which is called Connecticut Science Center (CSC) has received the coveted Gold Level LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

Adopting the topography of the Nile valley as a concept, Zaha Hadid Architects has proposed the design of Cairo Expo City for a competition. The project is located in egypt covering a 450,000 sq m exhibition and conference complex. The complex will have 33 storeys tower as a vocal point, and includes a major conference centre, a business hotel, office block and shopping centre.

In collaboration with Article 25 and Buro Happold, Foster + Partners started a project to establish a design prototype to create a series of school buildings for Sierra Leone. The prototype has modular system and very flexible, It has larger classrooms, effective ventilation and natural light. The system embraces floor, walls and roof on a flexible plan and can be easily assembled and reconfigured to meet the different demands of communities in Sierra Leone.

Designed by Ben van Berkel of UNStudio, the upcoming Grand Hyatt Hotel in Frankfurt will stand 110 metre to house a 5-star-plus hotel with 405 rooms and suites, a ballroom, spa, various restaurants, a lobby bar and a public Sky Lounge on the top floor, and the possibility of an adjacent congress center.

Designed by Marco Casagrande, the Chen House is sited on Datun Mountains, North-Taiwan. This small house constructed with mahogany and concrete and designed as a vessel to react on the demanding wind, flooding and heat conditions on the site. Aimed to give the farmers a needed shelter, the house is not closing the environment out. The house is not strong or heavy – it is weak and flexible.

Expected to open early this month, the HKS’s new stadium for the Dallas Cowboys will be the one of the longest column-free rooms in the world, stretching a quarter of a mile in length, and covers 280,000sq area to hold up to 100,000 fans. Its roof supported by two monumental arches while its vocal point is the elongated arch entrance.
