Floating House in Canada

I just realized that water is not a Netherlands’ specific problem, but we can find such problem and its solution in Ontario, Canada. MOS designed this floating house with vernacular approach and specific to its site condition especially the water level which too vary drastically from time to time. As you can see on the image, the house floats atop a structure of steel pontoons, allowing it to fluctuate along with the lake.
