Designed by the 2004 Pritzker winner, Zaha Hadid, the Nordpark Cable Railway comprised of four station (Congress Station, Loewenhaus Station, Alpenzoo Station, and Hungerburg Station) with its unique design related to each site. I like the streamlined design, which is achieved by Zaha Hadid Archietecs by adopting special design technologies developed for automotive industry.
“Each station has its own unique context, topography, altitude, and circulation. We studied natural phenomena such as glacial moraines and ice movements – as we wanted each station to use the fluid language of natural ice formations, like a frozen stream on the mountainside.” Zaha Hadid
